Recruit Reward Program Closed Down [EverQuest II]

Daybreak has announced that the Recruit Reward program has been discontinued. As posted on the official forums: Hail Norrathians! In July of 2013, the Beta for the Recruit Rewards program launched. This program allowed anyone with a then-Station Account to earn special items by inviting friends to join them in their favorite games. Over the past two years, we have gathered a lot of excellent information and feedback about this recruitment program, on everything from system set-up and maintenance to the types of rewards that were found most desirable. At this time, we have decided that we are going to end the Recruit Rewards Beta and will not be continuing with the program in its current form. Though we will not be launching Recruit Rewards, your feedback remains valuable to us as we explore the development of other new and different programs here at Daybreak. Today, we’d like to make an announcement regarding the future of ZAM Network, as many of you may have noticed some recent changes occurring with our staff. In the next few months, ZAM is going to be setting up shop in the Los Angeles area to be closer to the companies that we care so passionately about. While not everyone on the ZAM team will be able to move to the new offices, the potential new and expanded focus made moving to a new headquarters a top priority. Being within driving distance from Blizzard, Activision, Riot, and many others will allow us to give you unprecedented new insight into your favorite games so we can continue to increase the quality and depth of our coverage. US EverQuest II Live Servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 7:00AM PDT for an update. EU EverQuest II Live Servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 9:00PM PDT for an update. (Approx. 5:00AM London Time on May 13, 2015). Both are estimated to have on hour of downtime. Here's the update notes: POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION General Werner Thunderleg will now cast Total Domination correctly. F.S. Distillery: Beggars and Blighters [Raid] Kildiun the Drunkard has had his health increased. MERCENARIES Katastra Vilehex now has a more tank focused buff package. ITEMS Corrected an issue with Offensive Focus effects that prevented them from working for some classes. Sigil of Defiance will now grant melee skills and defense instead of casting skills.

Daybreak Game Company unveiled its new logo and website last week, giving a fresh face as it looks toward the future. We chatted with Daybreak President John Smedley and the Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Marketing Laura Naviaux yesterday evening about the origins of the company's new name and logo, Columbus Nova, the future of its fan convention, and more. Laura kicked things off explaining that the company chose the name Daybreak because it symbolizes the opportunity that each new day presents and the"renewed spirit each and every day to continue to move online gaming forward."With the logo, they wanted the undertones of power in it which is why they chose the coloring of red for the backdrop.
