The Rum Cellar Campaign is on Beta! [EverQuest II]

The recently announced Rum Cellar Campaign is on Beta and ready to test! Head to a world bell and choose"Far Seas Distillery"(above Tranquil Sea on the map) to get to the area outside the zone. Rum Cellar will introduce the level 100 Far Seas Distillery zone to Altar of Malice . This zone has six instance types (Solo, Advanced Solo, Heroic, Event Heroic, Event Heroic– Challenge Version and Raid), but none of the content is locked. In the story you'll find yourself teaming up with the Brokenskull pirates to help prevent the Rumpocolypse (an end to rum production—such a travesty), starting with a temporary undead parrot companion named Nibbles who will assist your recon of the distillery. The entire campaign story is delivered through the solo and heroic zones, while the raid zone story is complimentary to the storyline. Raiders can expect 10 raid events: nine plus a one-shot boss. The Oasis, Unrest and Battlegrounds will have an extensive 11-12 hour downtime beginning at 3:30am PT on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 for server migration and maintenance. US live servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, April 7th at 7am PT for an update. Estimated downtime is approximately one hour. EU servers will be brought offline at 9pm PT (5am London Time on April 8th) for an update. Expected downtime is one hour. Here are the patch notes: POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION Precipice of Power [Raid] Cazic Thule will be protected by his minions if he falls low on health and they are able to help him! ITEMS All damage types of the Terror Inducing Mace have been made 6 second delay.

EU EverQuest II Live Servers will be brought offline on Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 9:00PM PDT* for an update. (Approx. 5:00AM London Time on April 10, 2015). Estimated downtime is one hour. Daybreak Players Step Up to Organize Fan Faire [EverQuest]

Shortly before the sale of Sony Online Entertainment - now Daybreak Games - was announced, the word went out : SOE Live wasn't happening this year. Formerly known as Fan Faire, the annual gathering of players and SOE developers to celebrate their favorite games had become a vacation mainstay for many people. After the announcement a dedicated group of players decided to pick up the project themselves. Project Fan Faire is in motion, but because there no big backers, they are running a Kickstarter in an attempt to fund the event. Tickets include admission to the event, three catered meals, and access to all player panels. Bristlebane Day returns tomorrow, Friday, March 27th, and runs through Thursday, April 9th. There's new recipes, new rewards, and new quests! Keep your eye out for interesting Patchcraft mobs all over Norrath and earn your Patchcraft Slayer achievements ! On April 1st things really get hopping! On the Highest of Silly Days you can collect bunnies all over Norrath for four achievements (one's new this year). Returning are the Jester's superior gardens in Enchanted Lands, giving harvestables from all holidays. Frostfell crafting stations will also pop up in Enchanted Lands on the Highest of Silly Days.
