The latest edition of Sony Online Entertainment's EverQuest II Livestream, EverQuest II Insider , is scheduled for Wednesday, July 9! SOE has been taking questions on the forums and social media and they'll be answering them live. Scheduled to appear are Margaret Krohn , Kyle Vallee and Michael Ganz ! Sony Online Entertainment has published the list of twelve Player Panels that will be featured at SOE Live . These player-run panels, some new and others familiar from last year's event, offer a wide variety of topics for attendees to enjoy. ZAM will have two of its number on player panels this year: LockSixTime will be on the Social Media& Streaming panel, while Cyliena will once again be on the EQ2 Hardcore Decorating panel. EverQuest II 's Gear Up, Level Up promotion, originally scheduled to end on July 9, 2014, has been extended. Margaret“Luperza” Krohn, EQII Community Manager posted this notice today: The Gear Up, Level Up promotion has been extended! It will not go until July 31st, 2014 at 11:59 PM PDT! Official post will go out tomorrow morning, but I thought I'd be nice and let y'all know. The Gear Up, Level Up promotion grants players bonuses to prepare for the level cap increase coming with the next expansion. All Access members get these bonuses and discounts: Double-Double Etyma in Tears of Veeshan (4x the rewards)! 25% XP Bonus Tears of Veeshan Expansion discount (15%) 25% Off Heroic Characters Free players receive the following bonuses: Double Etyma in Tears of Veeshan (2x the rewards)! Also eligible for a Tears of Veeshan expansion discount (15%).

Downtime - Thursday, July 10 2014 [EverQuest II]

All US servers will come down on July 10th, 2014 at 7:00 AM Pacific Time for an update. EU servers will come down beginning at 9:00 PM PT (6:00 AM CET July 11th, 2014) for the same update. Downtime for both sets of servers is anticipated to be approximately two hours. The French battlegrounds will not be available when the server comes up due to internal maintenance. When it is resolved, it will be unlocked. The update notes are below. POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION Temple of Veeshan: Dreadscale's Maw New items in the Dreadscale's Maw are now correctly usable by all classes. DUNGEON MAKER Fixed an issue related to experience gain. ITEMS Ethereal Scythes have been changed to crushing weapons. Scythe of the Sun is now a crushing weapon. Warblister, Scythe of Fury is now a crushing weapon. Holly " Windstalker"Longdale mentioned it in this week's EQII Insider QA Livecast, then tweeted it yesterday afternoon: Gear Up, Level Up promotion extended thru the end of July! Also, Double XP for Adv, AA, TS experience this Fri noon - Sun 11:59pm PDT! That's double tradeskill, adventure, and AA experience from July 11, 2014 at 12:00 noon Pacific time through Sunday July 19, 2014 at 11:59 pm. Note that this doesn't include guild experience, but Holly said during the livecast,"We might do Double Guild XP the weekend after next." You can read more about the Gear Up, Level Up promotion on our EverQuest II site . UPDATE: This just in from the official announcement : " Experience bonuses do not stack. All Access members will get 100% adventure, AA and tradeskill experience bonus instead of 25% experience bonus for those experience types specifically."

UPDATE 9:20am ET : Login servers appear to be back up and running, but remember that there's still a 7am PT/10am ET patch this morning! UPDATE 8:30am ET : All SOE websites, forums and login servers are all down for an unrelated issue . According to Colette"Dexella"Murphy on Twitter ,"We're working on the SOE games/website/forum issues people are reporting. More news when it's available!" SOE Grants Members Two Free Days [General News]

Sony Online Entertainment has been plagued by DNS problems since early Tuesday morning , causing players to intermittently be unable to access SOE websites, forums, and games. Today SOE issued an apology on their forums (if you can get to them) and social media : We deeply regret the recent service interruption. We will be adding two days of membership time to all members’ accounts. Because domain registration can take a while to filter through internet service providers everywhere, players may continue to have issues. In cases like this things are usually completely resolved within 48-72 hours. If you don't want to wait, you can also try to flush or map your DNS .

Announced on Wednesday's EverQuest II Insider broadcast , players can enjoy bonus experience gain toward guild levels this weekend! This bonus weekend will kick off at 12pm (noon) Pacific on Friday, June 18th and end at 11:59pm Pacific on Sunday, June 20th. Get ready to run writs , finish off some dusty Heritage Quests on those alts and turn in lots of status loot !
