New SOE All-Access Plan Delayed [General News]  from ZAM News (full)

Sony Online Entertainment Community staff posted this update to the All-Access FAQ on all SOE game forums today: Dear Players, In an effort to ensure that the transition to the new All Access membership plan is as seamless as possible, we are going to be taking a little more time to test. So, we will be pushing the launch date of All Access to Tuesday, April 29th. Because of the portfolio-wide nature of this plan, this may prevent us from doing any individual game updates in EverQuest, EverQuest II, Planetside 2, and DC Universe Online. These updates will resume normally after the All Access launch. We appreciate your patience and you’ll agree that our new membership offering is worth the wait. Short version : the new subscription plan will launch April 29, and EverQuest , EverQuest II , Planetside 2 , and DC Universe Online may not see updates because of it.

Downtime - Friday, April 25, 2014 [EverQuest II]  from ZAM News (full)

The US servers will come down on April 25th, 2014 at 7:00 AM Pacific Time for maintenance. The expected downtime is approximately one hour. EU servers will come down beginning at 9:00 PM PT (6:00 AM CET April 26th, 2014) for the same maintenance. Downtime is anticipated to be approximately two hours. Note: This downtime is for maintenance and not for a Game Update.  There are no patch notes.

Sony Online Entertainment has announced dowtime for all its games and services on Tuesday, April 29, 2014: Attention players: in order to roll out the new All Access membership plan , we will perform a maintenance beginning at 12:01 AM PDT on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. The downtime for this maintenance will be extensive and we will update you as each individual service becomes available. This will impact the following SOE services: All SOE Games All Official Forums Account management Commerce functions, including purchases Note that there is no actual time estimate, as the downtime will be"extensive."You can read the All Access Program FAQ, which was last updated April 25, 2014,  here .

Sony Online Entertainment has announced that early registration for SOE Live 2014 is now open! This year’s event will be at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, A‌ugust 1‌4-1‌7 . There are three pricing levels available: the Day Pass, Evening Pass, and the all-encompassing Premium Pass. The Premium Pass has Early Bird pricing of $129 if you buy one before the May 12, 2014 cutoff. Kids 12 and under are free this year, but they need a badge so be sure to include them in your registration. There are also two optional upgrades: Priority Grand Banquet and Welcome Seating, where you can buy a 12-seat table for $60 at the big events ( each reservation requires a separate purchase), and the Sunday Dev Brunch, which costs $59 and requires a Premium Pass. GENERAL Mounted combat pets now retain their illusion form after the player lands with a flying or gliding mount. POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION General Respawn and evacuate locations have been added to The Trembling Lagoon, Dythra's Lair, and Cleansing of the Cove. Previously, respawning and evacuating within these zones sent you to The Feerrott. Level 1-19 human skeletons, found in Commonlands and Antonica, now have a 6% chance to drop"Bloody Robe." ...

Today Linda"Brasse"Carlson , Director of Global Community Relations at Sony Online Entertainment , updated the SOE All Access FAQ .  This update changes the launch date to"on or about April 23rd."It also includes information about Dragon's Prophet , ProSiebenSat.1 Games customers, and clarification on the 10% Marketplace discount. No EQII Patch This Week [EverQuest II]  from ZAM News (full)

According to an April 11th tweet by EverQuest II Senior Producer Holly"Windstalker"Longdale , there will be no weekly patch this week. We are bundling High Keep Contested& Bloody Shank heritage quest for the 23rd update. No hotfix next week, but a major leap ahead... Hopefully this also means no maintenance downtime this week!

On Wednesday, April 2nd, 2014 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM PDT at http://www.twitch.tv/EverQuest2 , Sony Online Entertainment will introduce a new EQII themed livestream, EverQuest II Insider ! Episode one will include content spanning a plethora of topics - Player Studio, Sneak Peeks, Dev Picks, All Access, and even the EverQuest Worlds app! Plus they will be doing TWO special giveaways that you won't want to miss out on! The cast will include Margaret Krohn, Adam Key, Holly Longdale, Akil Hooper, Chris Garlick, Gary Daugherty, and Nathan McCall! There will be plenty of time for questions and tons of answers shall be supplied! There will be a recap of the episode up on EverQuest 2 's YouTube , so subscribe for updates.
