Downtime - January 10, 2012 [EverQuest II]

All U.S. servers will come down on Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at 7am PST for a hotfix. The expected downtime is one hour. EU servers will have their update at 5am London Time on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Estimated downtime is two hours. See the full patch notes after the jump. GENERAL Fixed a bug where you would have to recast buffs on group members every time you zone. Fixed random lighting bugs on characters and environments. Players will now receive achievement credit for earning hall of fame status if they are offline when awards are processed. ACHIEVEMENTS Sense of Urgency: Debone Bonewing should correctly update when defeating the zone boss in under 30 minutes from zone in. DUNGEON MAKER Dungeon Maker creatures will no longer temporarily reappear when defeated while under the effect of a tier-adjusting object. Dungeon Maker adventurers should now show up in the Marketplace preview tab. Fixed a UI bug with the Dungeon Maker create window. ...

The City Festival Starts Tonight! [EverQuest II]

Tomorrow rings in the new year and brings us the Gorowyn City Festival ! The festival is planned to start on January 1st at 12:01am PST and run until January 7th at 11:59pm PST. The Far Seas Caravan can be found inside the Timorous Maw while the quest giver, Kella Swampfoot, will be on the docks of Faydedar Watch. There are no new items at the festival this month. Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialities and other festival goods . An Aether Race will also be available in Timorous Deep during the festival. Participate and achieve a time of 244 seconds or less to earn the Wind Warden prefix title! Begin the race by speaking to the referee on the docks.

Vox to Nagafen Merge is Complete! [EverQuest II]

UPDATE 2:49pm PST : The newly merged Nagafen server is back online. SOE just announced , "The Vox to Nagafen server transfer is complete! We've greatly appreciated your patience during this downtime." . If you have any issues stemming from this merger you are urged to contact Customer Support . The server merge of Vox into the Nagafen server should now be underway. Its scheduled start time was 5am PST and is expected to take approximately 24 hours to complete. Antonia Bayle and The Bazaar will experience a temporary outage of their chat channels and in-game mail during the merge. During the downtime you are welcome to join us in the #EQ2 channel of ZAM's IRC chat . Feldon of EQ2Wire also has set up a ZAM IRC java applet that you can use.

DUNGEON / PLAYER HOUSING RATINGS The house and dungeon leaderboards have now been converted from the previous 5-star rating system to a new"Like"system. When visiting a house or completing a dungeon maker zone you now have the option to"Like"the zone in either of the two categories. The leaderboards are now based on the accumulation of likes. Awards continue to work as before and are given to the players at the top of the leaderboard. POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION Tower of Tactics x4 raid [Challenge Mode], and Tallons’s Stronghold x4 Raid [Challenge Mode] Several of the raid bosses have had effects in their raid wide debuff spells lowered. The Bazaar> Freeport merger is scheduled to start late tonight. The Bazaar will go down on Wednesday, December 21, 2011 at 12:00 AM PST. Freeport will go down on Wendesday, December 21, 2011 at 2:00 AM PST. The server merges will take approximately 24 hours to complete once they have started, although the Vox> Naggy merger took much less time than anticipated. In addition to those servers being affected, there will also be chat & mail downtime for the following servers: Nagafen& Antonia Bayle - December 21, 2011 from 2:00 AM - 4:00 AM PST Permafrost, Crushbone, Oasis& Freeport - December 21, 2011 from 2:00 AM - 1:00 PM Watch this space for updates and more information as it becomes available!
