Dave"Smokejumper"Georgeson, EQII Senior Producer, posted that there will be a double experience weekend this weekend. In anticipation for the coming of"Destiny of Velious"on Tuesday, we're running a Double XP weekend from 10am Pacific on Friday, 2/18 until 10am Pacific on Tuesday, 2/22. This affects adventure, tradeskill, and AA experience. If you're planning on playing the Destiny of Velious expansion you'll want to be level 85 or 86! UPDATE: There seems to have been some confusion on the end date of this bonus experience weekend, as the expansion releases the same day it ends. Amnerys corrected the error on the forums: Servers are currently expected to come down around 3am on the 22nd. Bonus XP will run until they are taken down.

In celebration of the launch of Destiny of Velious , SOE has announced twelve days of special events, which kicked off yesterday with the bonus experience weekend. All events/offers will run from 10:00 am PST on the day they begin until 10:00 am PST the following day, when the next event/offer begins. The events for February 23rd through 28th have yet to be announced, but here's what has been so far! February 18-22: President's Day Bonus XP Weekend! On the first four days of Velious, enjoy bonus adventure, tradeskill and AA experience! This event runs from 10:00 am PST on February 18th until servers come down on Tuesday morning (currently scheduled for 3:00 am PST on February 22nd). February 22: Othmir Day Everyone who logs in on Launch Day, February 22nd, will receive an Othmir illusion potion. (Even those who aren't playing in Velious!) This morning all U.S. servers will come down at 7am PST for a hotfix. The estimated downtime of this update is one hour. Here are today's patch notes : GENERAL An issue that stops ambient characters in city zones from wandering has been fixed. ‘Follow’ should once again be an option on group member’s right-click menu. LIVE EVENTS Sister Thog Macgilly will now update the quest"Premonitions of Disaster"even while Erollisi Day is being celebrated. Creatures within the Shard of Love now have a significantly higher chance of dropping love loot while Erollisi Day is being celebrated.

Lucan D'Lere to Crushbone Server Merge Tonight [EverQuest II]

The Lucan D'Lere server will come down at 9pm PST today (February 15) to prepare for the last server merger. The Lucan D'Lere to Crushbone server merger will begin at 12:00am PST on Wednesday, February 16th and the servers will be offline for an estimated 24 hours. The merged Crushbone server should be back online sometime around 12:00 am PST on Thursday, February 17th. The following services will be affected for all EQII servers during this downtime and may experience interruptions: Cross-server chat Chat channels In-game mail Friends Lists See our Server Mergers page for everything we've learned about server mergers so far!
