The City Festival Starts Tonight! [EverQuest II]

Wow, is it December already? The Halas City Festival starts tonight!! The festival begins on December 1st at 12:01am PT and runs until December 7th at 11:59pm PT. You can find the Far Seas Caravan in New Halas next to the Cairn of the Huntress. Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialities and other festival goods , and don't forget to check out the four City Festival achievements (listed under Live Events in your journal). An Aether Race will also be available in Frostfang Sea during the festival. Participate and achieve a time of 104 seconds or less to earn the Snowflake Chaser prefix title! Begin the race by speaking to the referee on the Erollis Docks.

Senior Producer Holly"Windstalker"Longdale has posted a Producer's Letter which itemizes the end of 2014 for EverQuest II . Highlights include a big bug bash, finishing off the SOE Live feedback, Frostfell , limited-time Ethereal Armor gems, and Plunderable items on the Loyalty Merchants. You can read the entire letter on the official forums or below after the jump. The holidays are coming up fast, and we wanted to take a moment to let you know what’s coming up! Bug Bash We are doing a Bug Bash (and have been) that will release on December 9 with lots of fixes. POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION Zavith'loa: The Lost Caverns [Advanced Solo and Heroic] Fixed a bug that caused Beastmaster Kau'mua to heal for more than intended. Fixed a bug that was rarely causing Ceracuspis to get stuck in his charging animation. Zavith'loa: The Lost Caverns [Advanced Solo] The Beastmaster Kau’mua fight now contains better messaging to explain the fight mechanics. EU Eservers will be brought offline on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at approximately 9:00PM PST, or 5:00AM London Time (19 November). Estimated EU downtime is two hours. Patch notes are available after the jump. GENERAL Elite mercenaries Kenny, Matri Dut, and Perrin should now despawn after 5 minutes of being first hired. Fixed an issue where Kylong Plains was at the wrong location on some Fast Travel Maps. Removed the Burned Woods entrance from the travel map. Resolved an issue where specifying the name of a mercenary in a macro resulted in a"not found"error. Fixed a bug where you would not be able to see your bags in your inventory or house vault when inside a guildhall or house and you have a lot of stuff. Nope, you're not seeing things: it's another downtime announcement for EverQuest II . All US servers will be brought offline on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at approximately 7:00AM PST. Estimated US downtime is one hour. EU servers will be brought offline on Thursday, November 20, 2014 at approximately 9:00PM PST (or 5:00AM London Time on 21 November). Estimated EU downtime is two hours. Patch notes are available after the jump. GENERAL Fixed a bug that allowed agnostic dungeons to bypass level recommended code for XP reduction. Dungeon Maker dungeons now start reducing XP after 95. EQUIPMENT SETS Resolved an issue where the Save option wasn't available after equipping an item that first required attunement. There is now messaging when a specific instance of an item could not be found when equipping a set. This messaging differs if another copy of the item was found and equipped instead.
