The City Festival Starts Tonight! [EverQuest II]

With all the excitement of Nights of the Dead and Altar of Malice beta it'd be easy to forget that November 1st will bring us the Freeport City Festival ! The festival is planned to start on November 1st at 12:01am PDT and run until November 7th at 11:59pm PST. You can find the Far Seas Caravan in the Commonlands between the Crossroads and the Freeport Griffon Tower. An Aether Race will also be available in Commonlands during the festival. Participate and achieve a time of 119 seconds or less to earn the Portal Jumper prefix title! Begin the race by speaking to the referee near the docks.

SOE has announced the pricing and goodies included in the Altar of Malice expansion. An important point of interest: unlike previous expansions, this one cannot be pre-ordered. That means that the Collector's Edition will not have a discounted price at any point. US servers will be brought offline on Tuesday, October 21, 2014 at approximately 7:00AM PDT, with an estimated downtime of one hour. EU servers will be brought offline at approximately 5:00AM London Time on October 22. Estimated downtime is 2 hours. IMPORTANT NOTE: SOE has also announced a two hour downtime for all their systems starting at 5:00am PDT on the same day. Patch notes are available after the jump. GENERAL All Access members can now send and receive mail attachments from almost anywhere. Added an option to default applying Adornments to manual selection. You can find this option under User Interface - Game Options - Manually Select Items to Adorn. Rewards earned in the Altar of Malice Beta may now be obtained via /claim. TRADESKILLS Grandmaster recipe for Winds of Velious IV now requires the correct master component. Corrected several issues with Conjuror Grandmaster recipes above level 80.

Beginning Tuesday, October 7 at 12:00pm PDT and running through Monday, November 10 at 11:59pm PDT, players can receive bonus experience, double Etyma, and a chance to obtain some awesome items in game! EverQuest II has announced an unscheduled downtime this evening: We'll be bringing US servers offline shortly to resolve some outstanding issues. The servers are estimated to be unavailable for approximately one hour Holly Longdate, EQII Senior Producer, has been giving updates via Twitter . The latest said: Servers are coming down shortly (within 20min). Downtime broadcasts are in-game also. Should be down for about an hour. You can check EQ2 Server Status here .
