The New Halas City Festival Has Begun! [EverQuest II]

December has arrived and with it the New Halas City Festival has returned to Norrath! The festival will run until December 7th at 11:59pm PST and can be found near the Cairn of the Huntress. Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialities and other festival goods . An Aether Race will also be available in Frostfang Sea during the festival. Participate and achieve a time of 104 seconds or less to earn the Snowflake Chaser prefix title! Begin the race by speaking to the referee near the docks.

Starting at level 30, a guild is able to buy into their first guild hall. This instanced zone can be used to hang out with your fellow guildmates, socialize, prepare for an upcoming raid and much more. Depending on your guild level you will have access to purchase a certain amount of amenities which cover a diverse range of services, transportation and decoration options. The halls and amenities come at a cost; weekly upkeep must be paid to keep your hall open to the guild. Dexella just posted about a live maintenance occuring at 3:30pm Pacific today on the forums: There will be a live one-hour maintenance today at 3:30 pm Pacific. There will be no server downtime, though there may be some interruptions to commerce transactions. Thank you for your patience.

Legends of Norrath Member Pack Changes [Legends of Norrath]

Colette"Dexella"Murphy, EverQuest II Community Manager, posted an update to the Legends of Norrath Membership Pack program. This program grants Gold EverQuest and EverQuest II Members five free Legends of Norrath booster packs every month. Going forward, all anniversary dates are reset and the free packs will be awarded on the member's first log in that month. Each player must log in during a calendar month to get that month’s worth of packs. Packs will no longer accumulate from month to month, so if you do not log in to Legends of Norrath in a month you will not receive free packs for that month. This change is this-point-forward, so any packs you have accumulated to date will still be waiting for you. The Choose-a-Pack cards awarded in December may be redeemed for any regular LON booster pack from sets 1-14.

The US and UK Servers will come down on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at 7:00 am Pacific (3:00 pm London) for a hotfix. The expected downtime is one hour. POPULATION Obol Plains : The Steward of Drinal merchant is now located in Cardin Ward. Harrow’s End : Drinal’s soulwells have returned and should correctly render when it is time to select his challenge level. ITEMS Shift+left-clicking on a green adornment should now properly create an item link in the chat window. TRADESKILLS Upgrades to Bloodbath and Bria's Entrancing Sonnet are now craftable. All US and EU servers will come offline at 7am Pacific Time on Thursday, November 29 for an update. Estimated downtime is one hour. The full patch notes are available after the jump. GENERAL The Shave and a Cut item once again properly changes your appearance. The background and frame will now show up again in the Target and Implied Target windows when the slider is set to show them. Fixed a bug where adventure and tradeskill level 91 to 95 guild events were not showing in the guild event filters. Added chat channels for level 90 to 95. Fixed an issue causing Call of the Veteran to not function properly. AMENITIES Advanced Guild Hall Writ Agent now offers writs for the Withered Lands, Eidolon Jungle, and Obol Plains. MERCENARIES Mercenaries should now clear their hate list whenever their actor is added or removed from the world (ie: on flying mounts). Broken Broker Baffles Buyers [EverQuest II]

UPDATE 11:22am (Pacific): Holly"Windstalker"Longsdale tweeted :"We are testing our fix for the broker now and are preparing for hotfix. Still looking into the chat issue." Today's patch introduced a bug that has rendered the broker nearly unusable. Any item excluding equipment displays no name on the broker, causing it to be unsearchable. The UI you use has no impact, so don't rush and begin swapping UI pieces trying to fix it. This problem is listed in SOE's Top Known Issues and will hopefully be fixed very soon.

UPDATE 7:35am PST : Game logins appear to be functioning again. Your Station Cash balance may unavailable until SOE fully finishes their maintenance, so don't be alarmed if it's displaying the wrong amount. We have found out that many SOE game logins are currently under an unscheduled maintenance , which has caused players to be disconnected from their games and unable to log back in. The forums and account management logins are also subject to the same login issues. The reason for the maintenance is unknown. If you are still online you may get disconnected if you zone or change characters. We are currently doing some unscheduled maintenance that is affecting logins. We anticipate it done shortly and appreciate your patience. We'll update when we hear that login servers are back online!
