SOE has announced maintenance beginning at 6:00AM Pacific on July 10, 2012. This will impact the following services: Login for all SOE games may be unavailable from 6:00 AM Pacific to approximately 8:00 AM Pacific. Commerce transactions, including purchases on SOE websites and in-game marketplaces, will be unavailable from 6:00 AM Pacific* to approximately 8:00 AM Pacific. SOE Account management will be unavailable from 6:00 AM Pacific to approximately 8:00 AM Pacific. SOE Forums will be unavailable from 6:00 AM Pacific to approximately 6:30 AM Pacific, and will become read only until 8:00 AM Pacific. Players who are already logged into SOE games will be able to continue to play. However, if you log out you will be unable to log back in. Here's our handy Time Zone Conversion Tool to help you plan.

All U.S. servers will come down at 7am PDT on Wednesday, July 11, 2012. The expected downtime is one hour. The EU servers will be coming down at 5am London Time on Thursday, July 12, 2012. The expected downtime is two hours. The patch notes are available after the jump. DUNGEON MAKER You can now play as your character in Dungeon Maker dungeons! Furthermore these dungeons are"Level Agnostic"meaning that anyone of any level can group together and do them together! While the dungeons will be a bit more difficult for a lower level character than a higher level character, they will still be able to play together. SOE Discontinues Pre-Paid Game Cards in Europe [General News]

According to posts on Station.com and other SOE game forums, European customers holding SOE Pre-Paid Game Cards have until July 23rd, 2012 to redeem them. Furthermore, SOE will no longer be selling Pre-Paid Game Cards in Europe as part of the ProSiebenSat.1 Games agreement. Here's the entire notice: To our European customers, We wanted to let you know that SOE will no longer be selling pre-paid game cards in Europe as of 07/20/12. As we begin to transition our games to our European partner, ProSiebenSat.1 Games, customers will be able to take advantage of new methods of payment including pre-paid options, such as PaySafe, via their new ProSiebenSat.1 accounts. The Gorowyn City Festival Has Begun! [EverQuest II]

The Gorowyn City Festival has arrived in Timorous Deep! The festival began on July 1st at 12:01am PDT and will run until July 7th at 11:59pm PDT. The Far Seas Caravan can be found inside the Timorous Maw while the quest giver, Kella Swampfoot, will be on the docks of Faydedar Watch. Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialities and other festival goods . An Aether Race will also be available in Timorous Deep during the festival. Participate and achieve a time of 244 seconds or less to earn the Wind Warden prefix title! Begin the race by speaking to the referee on the docks.

Fireworks Coordinators appeared in the cities of Norrath today, once again offering quests to players. Set off the fireworks launchers in celebration of summer and a city-themed launcher for your own house! Don't forget to pick up a FREE sparkler in the Summer Fireworks Festival category of the Marketplace to get started. The cities of Norrath are celebrating the arrival of summer with fireworks displays! Collect your free festival sparkler and visit fireworks coordinators in North Qeynos, West Freeport, Kelethin, Gorowyn, Neriak and New Halas. The Summer Fireworks Festival is in full swing! Remember to check out our festival guide for more information. No end date has been announced yet, but last year the festival ended at 11:59pm PDT on July 4. POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION Plane of War x4 Raid Commander Goreslaughter and Corpsemaul– The crystals of death and destruction now have unique appearances and spawn close to the commanders, in 2 sets of 2. There are only 3 diaku war riders per wave and they no longer knockback. Skyshrine: Dracure Prime [challenge] Xerxis Mal'Fyrm has had overall encounter damage lowered. The priest only normalizes health if the difference between Xerxis and himself is more than 35% health. Hammilkor Barka the Undaunted spawns less whirlwind adds and has had overall encounter damage lowered. ...

Earlier this year Sony Online Entertainment announced their partnership with ProSiebenSat.1 to distribute SOE games in Europe. Today Eurpoean Everquest II players woke to an email announcing that the EQII PSS.1 transition will be starting in 30-60 days. The letter details the countries effected and the finer points of the processs for non-recurring memberships and All Access accounts. A translation of the letter can be found below.
