SOE Fan Faire came to a close on Saturday night with the grand banquet and costume contest, and we were there to take photos of every costume that crossed the stage . Above you'll see the top winners of the contest, who certainly turned a few heads as they walked through Bally's hotel and casino in Las Vegas. Fortune League Facebook Game to Cease Operations [EverQuest II]

Sony Online Entertainment announced yesterday that Star Wars Galaxies will be shutting down at the end of this year, but it turns out that's not the only SOE game that's closing its doors. Fortune League , the Facebook strategy game based in the EverQuest II universe, will cease operations on July 11. Here's the official announcement that was posted on the application and e-mailed to players: "As of Monday, July 11th this Facebook game will no longer be operational. In the meantime, you may continue to play and redeem prizes until the conclusion of this final season. However, the ability to add Station Cash funds to your wallet will be disabled on Friday, June 24th. Any existing funds in your wallet can still be used until the game is turned off. Beginning on Monday, July 11th, you may request a refund of the non-promotional Station Cash in your wallet if you play Fortune League and do not also currently play any other SOE game (EverQuest II, Free Realms, etc.) where you can ...

Over the past several months, we've been working on revamping our forum interface to make posting on ZAM a more streamlined and enjoyable experience. We are proud to announce that our upgraded forums are now live! We've stripped away the clutter and added a variety of new features, from updated contact information options to the ability to embed YouTube videos in your posts. The main focus of this revamp is to make our forums easy to use. Posting buttons are more prominent, you can quickly reply to a thread directly from the thread view page, and you can now search within a thread. We've also expanded the options for our non-premium members. They can now select from a variety of pre-made avatars, use emoticons, enjoy mouse-over previews and post images and polls after reaching a specific post count. The City Festival Starts Tonight! [EverQuest II]

Tomorrow is the beginning of July, bringing us the Gorowyn City Festival ! The festival is planned to start on July 1st at 12:01am PDT and run until July 7th at 11:59pm PST. The Far Seas Caravan can be found inside the Timorous Maw while the quest giver, Kella Swampfoot, will be on the docks of Faydedar Watch. The festival's newest wares were introduced early due to all city festivals being activated in May. You can pick up three newer Gorowyn themed house items: the Gorowyn Brazier , the Gorowyn Weathervane and the Red Marble Pedestal Table . Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialties and other festival goods. The Far Seas Trading Company has caught wind of the popularity of the Aether Races and have arranged for each city festival to have one of its own! The newest addition is expected to kick off this month in Timorous Deep and be available throughout the event.

A new Summer Celebration Fireworks event cropped up on the in-game calendar for the month of July. Expected to run from 12:01am PDT on July 1st through 11:59pm PDT on July 4th, this event celebrates the arrival of summer in Norrath. As stated on the in-game calendar: The cities of Norrath are celebrating the arrival of summer with fireworks displays! Collect your free festival sparkler and visit fireworks coordinators in North Qeynos, West Freeport, Kelethin, Gorowyn, Neriak and New Halas. Nothing else has been revealed about this event as it never made an appearance on the Test server. UPDATE: This event started late but is now in full swing! Check out our guide for more information!

Summer has arrived in Norrath and everyone is celebrating! Grab a free Festive Sparkler from the Marketplace and visit fireworks coordinators in Freeport, Gorowyn, Kelethin, Neriak, New Halas or Qeynos to earn your own fireworks launchers! The Summer Celebration Fireworks Festival runs until 11:59pm PDT on July 4th. The city of Gorowyn was abuzz with excitement this month as the Far Seas Caravan arrived at its docks to begin the city festival. Players can acquire local specialties from Chris Weathers and earn more city tokens by assisting Kella Swampfoot with her tasks. The Flying Freebooters have joined the festivities and a new Aether Racing course is available in Timorous Deep. All are welcome to try their luck on the unstable C.R.A.S.H. pads and those who are fast enough will earn a new pretitle. Moonlight Enchantments Have Begun! [EverQuest II]

The monthly live event Moonlight Enchantments has begun! Denizens of the enchanted grottos will welcome assistance from adventurers through 11:59pm PDT on June 21st. The time applies directly with no time conversion to all servers. Four of the grottos will feature more housing tiles, totaling 10 new items in all. The" Strong Brew Root Beer "quest has undergone some changes and is now constantly repeatable throughout the event.
