from ZAM News (full)
|
Two new types of mounts were introduced to the game today: Leapers and Gliders. Leapers can spring high into the air, allowing players to cover a respectable distance between each jump. Gliders can also leap to a lesser extent, but their wings will catch the wind and sail, tip and climb at your command. Adventurers and Crafters alike are offered quests to obtain these new mounts. The Leaper quests are available starting at level 30 and the Glider quests at level 60. Help protect and salvage these strange creatures and earn their trust! To aide your journey we have two new quest guides: Leaper Mounts and Glider Mounts ! Continue after the jump to see a video showing off the two new mount types in action. The first mount shown is the Glider; the second is the Leaper.

ZAM's E3 Roundup and Best of Show Award [General News]
from ZAM News (full)

E3 has come and gone, and we learned a lot during our time at the Los Angeles Convention Center. While we invite you to browse through all of our E3 coverage , we wanted to point out some of the highlights from the convention. You'll find all of our original features and a list of other noteworthy announcements after the jump! We'd also like to take this opportunity to present En Masse Entertainment and TERA with our Best of Show Award ! As we explored TERA's political system , the demo shined as the most polished one we saw at the convention. Expanding the role of politics in-game will create a whole new dynamic for players, and we believe TERA holds a lot of potential for its North American audience. We'll definitely be keeping our eye on this game as we wait for details on the testing and launch schedule. Keep reading below for our E3 roundup! ZAM Features TERA's Political System in Action : During our time at Masse Entertainment's impressive TERA booth, we ...

Qho's Misadventures! [EverQuest II]
from ZAM News (full)
|
Qho Augren has made a permanent impression upon many of being the brattiest child that Norrath has ever seen. Hailing from the Village of Shin, he nagged us time and time again to bring him back a multitude of harvests whenever we returned to him. The most recent Gathering Obsession quest had a unique twist however: Qho became a pet that follows us around! I'm sure many people had fun jumping off of cliffs or battled the nastiest of beasts with him in tow, but I saw the opportunity to teach Qho more about harvesting... and the world beyond. Qho has now visited a wide variety of places with me, posed for many pictures and even provided a point of amusement as unsuspecting players on my server have hailed my Qho pet over and over, likely wondering why he didn't give them a quest. I've had Qho as a pet since before I related the first story of his Brewday Adventures . A good deal of time and two world events have passed since then and Qho has stood steadfastly by my side throughou ...

SOE Fan Faire Guide! [General News]
from ZAM News (full)
|
Have you registered for Fan Faire yet? It's less than a month away, and that means it's time for my annual Fan Faire Tips! This is stuff I and other Fan Faire veterans have learned attending past Fan Faires and other conventions. All this may mean nothing if you're the type who can toss a change of undies in a bag and be good for a week, but me, I've always been an over-planner. Getting there: If you're flying, be sure to check the current FAA regulations on what you can and cannot carry. There are, for example, some odd rules about extra laptop batteries. Check your departing airport's website for how early you need to be there: if you miss the window you might arrive without your luggage. Once in Vegas, plan on a couple of hours to get from the plane to your hotel. I recommend you catch a shuttle to the hotel. It doesn't matter which one - they all cost about the same, $15 or so. Buy a round trip-ticket, because it's cheaper that way and all you' ...
