Leaper and Glider Mounts Coming Soon! [EverQuest II]

Two new mount types will be introduced to the game later in June:"Leapers"and"Gliders". Leapers will be available to players who are level 30+ while Gliders will be available to players who are level 60+. These mounts will be obtainable through either the Marketplace or from adventuring or tradeskill quests. The flying mounts, introduced in the Destiny of Velious expansion, will remain restricted to adventurers and crafters level 85 or higher. Leaper mounts can jump up and forward in tremendous bounds before falling, moving at speeds similar to flying mounts. You can control how high you jump, and you can steer while jumping using the movement keys. Obviously, you don't take falling damage when landing. Gliders are similar to Leapers, but at any point in your jump, you can snap out your mount's wings and begin gliding, using the movement keys to control direction, even being able to tip up and climb for a while before descending again. Sony Online Entertainment just confirmed during their live E3 stream that Station Access will soon be dropping to $19.99 per month from the current price of $29.99 per month. That means you can get access to all of SOE's games for a little more than the price of one game subscription! We expect SOE to release more details on the price cut in the near future. Sony Online Entertainment's E3 live stream just ended, and we have compiled a wrap-up to give you an overview of what the company is showcasing at the convention. One of the most interesting announcements is that Station Access will soon by dropping to $19.99 per month from the current price of $29.99 per month! Police Detain 3 Suspects in Sony Hacker Attack [General News]

According to multiple news sources such as the New York Times and CNN , police said today they have arrested three men suspected of being leaders of Anonymous, the group accused of attacking Sony's PlayStation network and subsequently forcing SOE to shut down its services from May 2-14 . The first suspect, a 31-year-old Spaniard, was detained in the Spanish city of Almería sometime after May 18. According to the New York Times,"He had a computer server in his apartment in the northern Spanish port city of Gijón, where the group is believed to have attacked the Web sites of the Sony PlayStation online gaming store." The two other suspects, both in their early 30s, were arrested in Barcelona and Alicante following attacks against the websites of the Spanish Parliament, the UGT trade union and the Catalan regional police. The Children of War ( Game Update 60 ) went live earlier this week and is full of content for all playstyles. The Fortress of Drunder offered adventurers four new raids and three new heroic dungeons. Daily solo shard missions are being offered by the Coldain Agent Provocateur, Bas Darkfrost. Cheese-lovers were excited to see that the Ratongan race is now neutral and being welcomed with open arms into the cities of good. A new Battlegrounds lobby, Champion's Respite , allows players a haven to group up cross-server prior to matches, purchase gear and pick up daily quests. One new game type, Vanquish, was added to Battlegrounds this season and its new map of The Frozen Tundra has been keeping adventurers on their toes. Harvesting underwent a modest revamp , having its base time reduced and tools adjusted, including the allowance of Woodworker-crafted tools to stack with the Tinkered tools. The Splitpaw server will have its hotfix at 5am London Time on Saturday, June 4, 2011. Estimated downtime is 2 hours. Here are the patch notes: COMBAT MECHANICS Casting Speed increases will work the same as before GU60. Reuse and Recovery will once again apply adders *after* multipliers. Additionally: Casting Speed will also now apply adders *after* multipliers (this was not the case before) so you should see a slight *increase* in casting speed compared to pre-GU60 numbers. A chill breeze was in the air as the Far Seas caravan set up their tents for the New Halas City Festival . The festival's newest wares were introduced early due to all city festivals that took place in May. Players can pick up four Halasian themed house items: Halas Ice Chair , Halas Ice Stool , Halas Ice Table and Halas Pedestal Table . Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialties and other festival goods. The city festival will end on Tuesday, June 7th at 11:59pm PDT. The Flying Freebooters have joined the festivities and a new Aether Racing course is available in Frostfang Sea. Adventurers can try their luck on the unstable C.R.A.S.H. pads and those fast enough to achieve a race time of at least 104 seconds will earn a new pretitle. The aether race runs concurrent with the city festival and will also end at 11:59pm PDT on June 7th.
