Editor-in-Chief Darryl"Togikagi"Gangloff had the opportunity to talk with Trzonkowski about the creative process behind writing the book and his history with MMOs, as well as the difficulties behind transferring your guild to a new game (in his case, it's Rift). Ratonga Celebration Week! [EverQuest II]

In Game Update 60 , Ratongas have changed into a neutral race and are celebrating! Between May 31, 2011 and June 6, 2011 all players can pick up the Seeker of Cheese house pet item and Gift of the Underfoot illusion for free in the Marketplace for a limited time only! While you're there check out the new Ratonga Heritage Armor and Underfoot Cheese Plate that are available for purchase. To access the Marketplace, use the EQII game menu or type /marketplace to open up the window. The free items can be found in the"Ratonga Week Specials"category. Players can also pick up a lore book about Ratongas, Out of Necessity , from the sages in the mage towers of North Freeport or South Qeynos.

The City Festival Starts Tonight! [EverQuest II]

June is on the horizon and as the new month begins the New Halas City Festival will come to Norrath! The festival is planned to start on June 1st at 12:01am PDT and will run until June 7th at 11:59pm PDT. The Far Seas Caravan can be found near the Cairn of the Huntress. The festival's newest wares were introduced early due to all city festivals being activated in May. You can pick up four Halasian themed house items: Halas Ice Chair , Halas Ice Stool , Halas Ice Table and Halas Pedestal Table . Visit the Far Seas caravan merchants to see all of the local specialities and other festival goods. The Far Seas Trading Company has caught wind of the popularity of the Aether Races and have arranged for each city festival to have one of its own! The newest addition will kick off this month in Frostfang Sea and be available throughout the event. Begin the race by speaking to the referee on the Erollis Docks. All U.S. servers came down at 7am PDT today for an estimated one hour update. The U.K. worlds will come down on June 2nd at 5am London Time for an estimated two hour update. Here are the patch notes from Station Launcher: GENERAL Fixed a zone crash related to using certain spells without a target. Fixed a crash issue related to Battlegrounds. Fixed a zone crash which could occur on The Bazaar and Vox. BATTLEGROUNDS You should no longer see your own chat in third person. Fixed an issue where matches would display large wait times.

All U.S. servers will come down for a hotfix at 7am PDT on Tuesday, May 24, 2011. The expected downtime is one hour. Game Update 60 is just around the corner with a release date of May 31st. Many exciting new additions will come with this update and this weekend ZAM is giving you a preview of some of this content. The Battlegrounds pits players against each other in unique settings with various game types. The queue interface window is getting a facelift and players can team up in the new cross-server lobby, Champion's Respite . A new game type is being added: Vanquish. This type of match entails not only the Player versus Player aspect of the game but also Player versus Environment and interaction with objects in the zone. An expansive stretch of ice and snow with two mighty keeps, The Frozen Tundra is the home of the Vanquish matches. This game type is a maximum of 18v18 with players being placed on either the Coldain (blue) or Kromzek (red) team. The upcoming Children of War update has many features and additions for every type of game play. Today we take a look at two additions that are sure to be a crowd-pleaser with decorators: two new prestige homes ! The deed to the Luxurious Kromzek Keep is expected to be obtained as a Fortress of Drunder raid drop. Players can access the keep through a portal in either South Freeport or South Qeynos. This home boasts grand statues, spacious rooms and soaring heights. Inside the keep decorators can enjoy filling eight rooms including a grand hall and a small treasury. Entry to the Thurgadin Grand Hall is gained by passing through the massive door in the back of the Thurgadin Exchange. This prestige home is composed of wood, velium and rune-etched stone, showcasing the finest of the Coldain's architecture. An open room of waterfalls and a fountain can be found deeper inside the grand hall. The method of obtaining this house is currently unknown. Continue after the jump for video ...

Crafters who set foot on the continent of Velious several months ago were warmly greeted by the Othmir, but all too soon left them behind as they moved on to help out the Snowfang gnolls and the Coldain. In Game Update 60 the othmir are again seeking help from tradeskillers as they send you off to the more hazardous landscape of Eastern Wastes. This series of quests has crafters assisting the Othmir of Nipik's Haven, a peaceful stretch of beach that their people first inhabited after the Shattering. The otters here fear for the destruction that the Kromzek giants and their minions are causing to the once bountiful land. Players will take part in dangerous missions to help remedy the situation before it is too late. After assisting the Othmir, tradeskillers who have obtained their flying mount are able to access a continuation of the new series in the Fortress of Drunder. Brontis at the Great Forge of Drunder holds secrets of ages past but is bound in his servitude to Rallos Ze ...
