Hotfix - April 12, 2011 [EverQuest II]

All U.S. servers will come down for a hotfix at 7am PDT on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. The expected downtime is one hour. The Splitpaw server will have its hotfix at 5am London Time on Wednesday, April 13, 2011. Estimated downtime is 2 hours. The full patch notes are available after the hop. GENERAL Players from other servers should no longer be able to join system chat channels. CHARACTER TRANSFERS Players can now transfer from PVP to PVE servers and from PVE to PVP servers. Exchange players can now transfer between the PVP/PVE exchange servers. USER INTERFACE Fixed an alignment issue with the research tab button in the knowledge window. POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION Fixed a bug where NPCs could fight other NPCs when they shouldn't. Kael Drakkel Tychron the Exsulator should hate shuffle less. Children of War Update Due May 17 [EverQuest II]

Recently announced in a SOE press release , The Children of War ( Game Update 60 ) is due to hit Live servers on May 17, 2011. The update is expected to feature more content for Destiny of Velious owners, a new Battlegrounds map, an adornments interface and several PvP additions or tweaks. Inactive Accounts Play for Free April 14 - 21 [EverQuest II]

Along with the information earlier today regarding next month's Children of War update, SOE also announced the Take Flight Winback promotion. Eligible inactive accounts will be reactivated between April 14 - 21 and will be able to claim a free flying mount. Smokejumper has clarified that" the mounts only last for 12 hours. They're not permanent." Here's the full information on the promotion: From April 14 to April 21, 2011, former players are also invited to log back in and experience the unparalleled depth and adventure that can only be found in EQII with the Take Flight Winback promotion. Eligible inactive accounts can log back in for free for 7 days, claim their free flying mount and reunite with friends and enemies alike for 7 days!

All U.S. servers will come down for a hotfix at 7am PDT on Thursday, April 14, 2011. The expected downtime is one hour. The Splitpaw server will have its hotfix at 5am London Time on Friday, April 15, 2011. Estimated downtime is 2 hours. The Test and Test Copy servers will also be updated on April 14 for multiple housing testing. Exact times are not yet known. Read this post on the EQII forums for more information on this update. Antonica found itself bustling with activity early on April 1st as the Far Seas caravans arrived to celebrate the Qeynos City Festival . The local specialties merchant has stocked up on four new items that are sure to please any Qeynosian. Also featured this month is the Antonica Aether Race course, which awards a prefix title to those who can master their race times. The festival will continue to run until 11:59pm PDT on April 7th. Bristlebane Day is still being celebrated, with the main parts of the event occurring in Enchanted Lands. One new quest, Gnary a Joke to Tell , sends players off on a pirate adventure. Crafters can enjoy a new recipe book as well as a red shiny collection that harkens back to memories of old. Bristlebane Day will run until 11:59pm PDT on April 11th. The phases of the moon will reveal the mysterious grottos again later in the month and their denizens will gladly offer you some tasks to perform. Registration for Sony Online Entertainment's 2011 Fan Faire has just opened! The Fan Faire will run from July 7th - 9th at Bally's Las Vegas. Events include developer panels, tournaments, live quests and much more. This year registrants have the choice between a Friday only, Saturday only or an All-Access pass for the entire weekend. The All-Access pass includes digital copies of EverQuest and EverQuest II's next expansion pack, special in-game items and access to special evening events at Fan Faire. All three types of passes include access to the showroom and developer panels, gift bags and daytime events. The Grand Prankster is out in force as Bristlebane Day returns to Norrath on March 29th. This year's event features two new quests, one of which is available on April 1st only, and a new tradeskill collection. Players can help fend off a pirate, defeat the Rat King and be puzzled by the sphinx's riddles. Decorators should get a laugh out of the latest recipe scroll, Perfectly Serious Items to Craft II , available at your local Bristlebane Day merchant .
