Sony Online Entertainment has published its newest official podcast this week (it's #94 for those of you keeping track), and this one focuses on Dragon*Con and Star Wars. Fans of Star Wars Galaxies and the new Clone Wars Adventures game may want to give this podcast a listen. In fact, two members of the Clone Wars Adventures dev team stop by to talk about the free-to-play, kid-friendly MMO. Of course, players of all other Sony Online Entertainment games should get some enjoyment out of the podcast. For example, Jason"Pex"Ryan gives a rundown on the latest updates for SOE titles. The podcast is a little more than 60 minutes long, so relax and enjoy the show !

According to posts on most SOE forums: Account services, including account maintenance, all commerce, and Station Store, will be down for maintenance for 3 hours on Thursday, September 23, 2010, from 9:00 pm PDT to 12:00 am PDT. The Station Store and all commerce avenues will be unavailable for the duration of maintenance. This may also affect the performance of the forums and any or all accounts'abilities to log in. Hotfix - Wednesday, September 15, 2010 [EverQuest II]

Since this morning's hotfix, players have been plagued with zoning issues. According to Greg"Rothgar"Spence the issues has been fixed internally, but must be hotfixed to take effect. The hotfix is scheduled for September 15, 2010, at 7am PDT and should last an hour. Here's our handy Time Zone Conversion Tool to help you plan.

A bug introduced with yesterday's hotfix caused several zones, such as Frostfang Sea, to be unavailable for zoning into through the travel system. Today's patch today fixes that bug, as well as the Stonebrunt to Sundered zoning bug. The full patch notes are listed below. GENERAL Fixed a bug causing some zones to not be available for zoning. Fixed a bug were Experts and Masters of the previous tier could be automatically overwritten in your hotbar by an apprentice spell. TRAVEL The Stonebrunt temporal pathfinder will now properly zone you into Sundered Frontier instead of leaving you high and dry in the middle of the sky. ITEMS Ykeshan Spellbears and Warbears can be used below level 80 and no longer can be combined below level 80.

Introduced with the Rise of Kunark expansion, Timorous Deep is the home of the Sarnak, a dragon-kin race of Kunark. Evil and Neutral players can join them as they decide whether to make peace or war with the Haoaera, an Aviak tribe on the island. Work your way through the history and lore of the Sarnak, and you may eventually make your home in the cave city of Gorowyn ! A post by Tiffany"Amnerys"Spence on the official forums warns of a very long downtime for the Splitpaw server on September 15. This is a notification that Splitpaw will be updated at 7:00 PM London Time on September 15, 2010. The estimated downtime will be 12 hours. Amnerys posted on the SOE forums last night regarding the weekly hotfix downtime. Here's our Time Zone Conversion Tool to help you plan. The US servers will come down on September 14, 2010, at 7am PDT for a hotfix. The expected downtime is 1 hour. Today's hotfix included many ability changes to the Guardian class along with several other minor enhancements and fixes. Review the full patch notes after the hop. UPDATE : Some users are experiencing a DirectX 9.0c dll error when trying to login after this patch. You may need to update your current version of DirectX. See this thread on the SOE Tech Support forums for possible solutions. USER INTERFACE Fixed a bug with and re-enabled new spells replacing old spells in the hotbar if the new spell is more powerful. COMBAT Flurry and AE auto-attack now work for ranged weapons and off-hand melee weapons! Ranged AE auto-attack will be a splash around the primary target. PVP COMBAT ...

Servers will come down at 7AM PDT on Tuesday, August 24th for a hotfix . The estimated downtime is one hour. Some new bugs that slipped in with Game Update 57 will be fixed and a few player requested features, such as City Tokens selling to merchants for status, will be introduced. The experience bonus for having players mentor you adds the percentage displayed in the tooltip rather than modifying the base experience from killing a monster.
