The US Servers will come down on Tuesday, March 5, at 7:00 am Pacific for an update. The expected downtime for US servers is one hour. The EU Servers will come down at 9:00 pm Pacific on 3/5 (5:00 am London on 3/6). The estimated downtime for EU servers is 2 hours. Patch notes are available below. GENERAL You can now put a true/false parameter on the /hide_illusions command to force hide or force show instead of toggeling the hide illusions option. If you don't use a parameter it will just toggle as before. The /hide command will once again default to /hide_illusions instead of /hide_guild_achievements. POPULATION/ZONE PROGRESSION Wurmbone's End: Nox Incessit Prime Temple-Blocker Grudk now gives more time to kill his spider adds. Adds have less health. Wasp and bug encounters have been lowered in number to help reduce lag issues. ITEMS The experience required to increase the level of a Spiritstone has been lowered in many cases. Brewday kicks off on March 7th and your faithful ZAM staff has been working hard to bring you all the help you need. While drunkenly stumbling through the Bar of Brell we were guided to this year's new quest by Tellar Blackswell and discovered that Jimmy is more volatile in his drinking habits. In the Butcherblock Mountains the pesky goblins trying to ruin the local Brewday festivities can once again be gleefully knocked over by carpets made of clovers. The event also features a new crafting scroll, Brewday Accoutrements to Craft IV , and a few new achievements . Back by popular demand we also offer you our updated Brewday Quest Tracker ! All U.S. servers will come down on Thursday, March 7, 2013, at 7:00 am Pacific for an update. The estimated downtime is one hour. The EU servers will come down at 5:00 am London Time on Friday, March 8, 2013. The expected downtime is two hours. Here are the patch notes: QUESTS Obol Plains Lujien, Not Lycan now provides a group update when gathering moonstones. One Hungry Bug now provides a group update when gathering stone for Scuttles. The Harrowing Hoard now provides a group update when buying a Cardin Ward Stout. Jenni's Stained Pants now requires fewer flower bulbs to gather. Throne of Fear Baelon should once again drop his monolith for Gulthga's quest series.

A big announcement from SOE today: many of the free-to-play restrictions will be lifted soon on EverQuest and EverQuest II Free and Silver membership accounts. Here's a look at the changes F2P players can soon enjoy. As of mid-next week, we're going to be removing the following free-to-play restrictions in EverQuest and EverQuest II. Free and Silver players will now have access to all of the following options: We are opening up ALL CLASSES.* We are opening up ALL RACES. ** All bag slots are unlocked. All players can now use the shared bank slots. The quest journal restrictions are lifted entirely. Quest away! Additionally, EverQuest is allowing all players to send delivery parcels! Almost one year ago players from all over the EverQuest II community got together to build a special playground for a young child who had terminal cancer. Today ( Saturday, March 9, 2013 at 1pm Eastern on the Guk server ) is a day to celebrate the memory of Ribbitribbit as well as the community who invested so much into making his day special. Here is the text from the player event posting : Last year on March 10, and in the week before that date, Norrathians made gaming history. Over 600 unique accounts came together from servers across Norrath for one purpose. To give a very special little Froglok some wonderful playgrounds and a very special party in his honor. For those of you who weren't involved, we started a guild and leveled it to 70 for a t3 guild hall in less than 70 hours. We not only decorated Ribbitribbitt's TT island retreat but 3 other prestige houses were donated and the t3 hall still looks spectacular. GENERAL Fixed an issue where NPC death animations would not play correctly. POPULATION / ZONE PROGRESSION Harrow's End Fixed an issue that was caused by players reviving before the encounter tried to teleport them out of the room. Drinal should now teleport players who are far away from him when he begins his fight instead of teleporting players after the encounter resets. Befallen: Cavern of the Afflicted and Royal Palace of Erudin Respawning NPCs in these zones will no longer give out XP, treasure loot, or corpse loot.
