This weekend EverQuest II is offering instant rebates on a wide variety of exploration-themed Marketplace items. Starting at 12:00 p.m. (noon) PDT on Friday, March 23, 2012, and lasting until 11:59 p.m. PDT on Sunday, March 25, 2012, the Explorer’s Instant Rebate Sale offers you an instant Station Cash rebate on select purchases. Downtime - March 20, 2012 [EverQuest II]

All U.S. servers will come down at 7am PDT on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Estimated downtime is one hour. This update will include the removal of Critical Mitigation from the game. The full patch notes are available after the jump. CRITICAL MITIGATION REMOVAL Critical Mitigation (the stat) has been removed from the game. NPCs no longer use Critical Bonus to add to critical damage. Buffs and debuffs that had Critical Mitigation elements to them have had those elements replaced with other elements instead, so that those buffs/debuffs do not lose effectiveness. Critical Mitigation values on adornments have been replaced with maximum health bonuses. NOTE : This change has no effect on PvP game play. The“PvP Critical Mitigation” stat is still useful for game balance in PvP play and is not being changed. EverQuest II takes part in the celebration of 13 years of EverQuest with the Chronoportals live event. Ancient portals take players back in time to battle creatures of a distant past. Several of these encounters have memorable dialogues that any former EverQuest player can appreciate. Whether you're looking for the chronoportal that Quillmane dwells within or need some help defeating the Nagafen's Lair encounter, our Chronoportals guide has it all. UPDATE 9:50am PDT: The patcher issues are fixed and everyone should be able to login now! UPDATE 9am PDT: Login servers are currently rejecting logins with no ETA. The issue is being looked into . All U.S. servers will come down at 7am PDT on Wednesday, March 14, 2012. Estimated downtime is one hour. Here are the patch notes: QUESTS Players who have completed the quest"The Fallen Swords: All Roads Lead To..."should check their mailboxes for a letter from the Duality himself. Account management will be unavailable starting at 12:01 AM to approximately 9:00 AM Pacific. Commerce transactions, including purchases on our websites and in-game marketplaces will be unavailable between 12:01 AM to approximately 9:00 AM Pacific. Forums will be read-only starting from 12:01 AM to 6:00 AM Pacific. Login for ALL games will be affected from 12:01 AM to 6:00 AM Pacific (players already logged in should not be impacted). This month the City Festival is hosted by the city of Neriak, featuring several new local specialties such as building blocks and a roof tile. The Aether Race in Darklight Wood will reward the prefix title of Fearless Flyer to players who complete the course in 89 seconds or less. Both events run concurrently and will end at 11:59pm PST on March 7th. Patrons of Norrath's pubs will be heartened to hear that Brewday will be returning! This year features three new quests, several new rewards and ten new craftable items. The Bar of Brell is expected to open its portal around 12:01am PST on March 8th and should remain in business until 11:59pm PDT on March 19th. Later in the month the denizens of the enchanted grottos will welcome assistance from those who seek them out. Players can search for those elusive pieces to their Moonlight collections and earn tokens toward purchasing house items or mounts.
