Just announced by Dave"Smokejumper"Georgeson, EQII Executive Producer: We'll be running Double XP days from Dec 30th through Jan 2nd! We do not have details yet, but the last few double experience days have included adventure, AA, and tradeskill experience. We'll bring you more information as it is available.

The US Servers will come down on December 22, 2011, at 7:00 am PST for a hotfix. The expected downtime is one hour. Here's the notes: DUNGEON MAKER Fixed an issue with avatar power consumption rates. QUESTS Beastlord Epic Ralissk should now properly speak to beastlords on all steps of the quest“One Door Closes, Another Door Opens”.

UPDATE : The start time of this event was changed to 10am PST on December 13, 2011. It should now be kicked on, check your games! The exception to this is EverQuest, who begins their deals on December 14. SOE will be launching a 12 Days of Holidays sales event starting Tuesday, December 13 at 10am PST, and running through 11:59pm PST on December 24. Players of participating games can login daily to find out what new sale item or feature is available. It's time to celebrate the Holidays with us! Starting today, December 13, 2011 at 10:00 am PST through December 24, 2011 at 11:59 pm PST get daily offers and deals when you login to participating games listed below. These could be new items, sales, or new features. You'll need to log in to find out what's happening in your game! Participating games are EverQuest, EverQuest II, Free Realms, Clone Wars Adventures, DC Universe Online, Pox Nora and Magic the Gathering: Tactics.

All U.S. servers will come down on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at 7am PST for a hotfix. The expected downtime is one hour. EU servers will have their update at 5am BST on Wednesday, December 14, 2011. Estimated downtime is two hours. See the full patch notes after the jump. GENERAL Fixed a bug with the 48 hour grace period for trade for some no-trade and heirloom items. Magic Carpet guild hall amenity now has Fens of Nathsar as a destination. Fixed a bug where loading a profile from your Mirror of Reflected Achievements would reset your AAs instead of loading the profile. DUNGEON MAKER Item rewards from Dungeon Maker should no longer be able to be transmuted or sacrificed. Dungeon Maker rewards should now be flagged as heirloom. Fabled Dungeon Maker rewards should no longer have red adornment slots. Ammo (Arrows) are now available in bundles of 50 arrows for 20 dungeon marks. WARNING : The instanced Shard of Love zone for the Captive Heart quest is currently crashing the game and getting characters stuck in it. Avoid zoning in until this is fixed! Bunji updated on the forums: I see the issue with this zone and will try and get it fixed today (should just need a client side update). Aaronolis Swornlove, a Priest of Love in New Halas, is growing more concerned about his sister's emotional state. He's looking for compassionate adventurers who might be willing to help her. Seek him out at the Cairn of the Huntress to embark on a quest to solve Priestess Annalisa's worries. A Goddess Risen is a limited time world event that will begin on Thursday, December 15, 2011. Fixed a bug where expertise AAs would not load properly from a mirror. When using an AA mirror to switch profiles you will no longer be spammed with onscreen messages or having icons autopopulate into your hotbars. Fixed a bug where the character tree would not show in the respec window when attempting to purchase AA respecs. PLAYER HOUSING Prestige house portals should no longer disappear when placed. The season of giving and cheer will start on Tuesday, December 6, after the downtime that launches the Age of Discovery expansion. Will you create a new Beastlord before running to see Santa Glug , who has added seven new presents to his bag this year? This year Frostfell introduces a new quest : Frostfell Decoration Committee , which is a bit like a crafting mission as you help the Frostfoot goblins decorate Permafrost. The classic Grab'n'Tag game has been retired, and players can play the new Frostfell Candy Grab in Antonica and Commonlands for fun prizes and Frozen Tokens of E'ci! There are also three new recipe books for the craft-a-holics which include such items as the Candy-Stripped Sword Of Doom, a Holiday Candy Bowl, and a variety of floating Fairy Lights! Downtime for Age of Discovery - December 6 [EverQuest II]

All servers will come down at 12:01am PST on Tuesday, December 6, 2011 for the Age of Discovery and Game Update 62 patch. Estimated downtime is currently 12 hours; U.S. servers are anticipated to come back online around 12:00pm PST (noon). Due to the volume of data involved, international servers will experience extended downtime. When patch notes are available we will put them on our Game Update 62 page. In addition, SOE account management and commerce services will be offline for all games during the transition period. Forums may also experience periodic outages. Remember that the EQ2X forums will be locked tomorrow morning at 10:00am PST. All EQ2X forum users should take this time to register anew on the EQII forums ; you can start posting there now!
